SOILCRATES Request for Applications is open!
The SOILCRATES project is launching a Request for Applications to foster a collective dialogue on soil health between academia and local actors. This initiative will support at least 40 local projects across France, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Spain, each lasting 1 to 2 years as part of the 4 SOILCRATES Living Labs.
Eligible applicants
This Request for applications is targeting farm owners, farmers’ associations, local SMEs, Research and Technology organizations (RTOs), or education organizations who are committed to improve soil health through context-specific, participatory solutions.
With an overall budget of €1.6 million, this FSTP Request for Applications is designed to identify and fund innovative, participatory approaches to soil management and regeneration at the local level, in the SOILCRATES identified regions — including the region of Landes in France; the counties of Clare, Limerick, and Tipperary in Ireland; the Province of Granada in Spain; and the provinces of Fryslân, Groningen and Drenthe in the North of the Netherlands.
Selected initiatives will receive subgrants between €20,000 to €60,000 and will benefit from technical support from the SOILCRATES consortium as well as knowledge exchange within a cross-regional network of stakeholders.
