On 12 May, the Granada Tierra Viva Living Lab held its first dedicated session focused on governance and future organisation within the framework of the SOILCRATES project.
The meeting took place at the Provincial Council of Granada, Diputación de Granada, a SOILCRATES partner, and brought together stakeholders involved in the continued development of the Living Lab.
The session opened with an institutional welcome, followed by an introduction to the collaboration between the University of Granada, the Provincial Council of Granada and Granada Tierra Viva. The team then presented the natural organisational structure that has emerged so far within the Living Lab, alongside a preliminary governance proposal developed by Granada Tierra Viva.
This proposal was shared as a starting point for discussion, with the aim of gathering feedback from stakeholders, identifying possible improvements and supporting the development of a more inclusive and participatory governance model.
Participants then took part in a series of participatory activities focused on identifying what is working well, what could be improved and how stakeholders perceive the future development of the Living Lab.
Following a short breakfast break, participants worked in three thematic groups addressing key aspects of the Living Lab’s future organisation: the structure of Granada Tierra Viva, the possible creation of working groups, and the shared vision of the Living Lab.
The meeting concluded with a collective discussion of the main ideas raised during the session. Participants also contributed to the creation of a shared calendar of activities, suggesting events, initiatives and collaborations in which Granada Tierra Viva could participate, support or help disseminate.
Overall, the session represented an important step towards a more shared, participatory and stakeholder-informed governance model. It also helped strengthen Granada Tierra Viva as an open platform for collaboration, territorial engagement and long-term sustainability within SOILCRATES.
