Last week, Jildou de Raad, SOILCRATES coordinator, gave a presentation during a four-day study tour on Sustainable Water Resource Management organised as part of the Master’s program at Junia ingénieurs.
The study tour, which took place across Belgium and the Netherlands, offered students the opportunity to explore different approaches to water management, connecting scientific research, policy, and practice. The programme included visits to several key institutions working on water treatment, groundwater management, drinking water production, and environmental governance.
Alongside these exchanges, Jildou presented SOILCRATES, contributing to discussions on soil and water-related environmental challenges and highlighting ongoing work within the project.
The tour fostered valuable dialogue between students and professionals, offering insight into how sustainable water systems are managed across different contexts, and reinforcing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing environmental challenges.
We are proud to see SOILCRATES represented in such international and practice-oriented learning environments.
