13–15 October 2025 – Brussels, Belgium

From 13 to 15 October 2025, the University of Granada participated in the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, representing the Granada Tierra Viva Living Lab within the framework of the SOILCRATES project. This annual European event provided a high-level platform to exchange experiences on territorial development, innovation, and sustainability.

During the event, the Granada Tierra Viva Living Lab was presented as an example of how Living Labs can support place-based solutions for soil health through participatory governance and collaboration between universities, municipalities, and local stakeholders. The participation highlighted how SOILCRATES connects local experimentation with European policy discussions, reinforcing the relevance of territorial approaches to soil protection and restoration.

The event enabled exchanges with regional authorities, European institutions, and other innovation initiatives, strengthening networks and increasing the visibility of SOILCRATES at the European level. Discussions focused on innovation ecosystems, regional resilience, and the role of research and co-creation in addressing environmental and societal challenges.
