Regeneración del suelo y del olivar centenario (Raiz Lenta)

This project is a field experiment in a degraded Mediterranean olive grove, to test regenerative soil restoration practices. It will evaluate layered applications of local organic materials (almond shells, raw horse manure, olive leaves, straw, pruning residues) to rebuild soil structure, increase organic matter, and reactivate soil life. The experiment assesses their effects on soil health and tree recovery under real conditions. It also explores the future reintroduction of livestock through controlled grazing in accordance with sustainable grazing principles, reintegrating the animals as a management tool, in a controlled manner that is compatible with soil regeneration.. The study generates practical, transferable evidence on regenerative practices to improve soil resilience and sustainability.
