On 3 December 2025, representatives of the Granada Tierra Viva Living Lab participated in the SOILL Annual Community Engagement Event, held online and bringing together Soil Health Living Labs and Lighthouses from across Europe. The event provided a strategic space for exchange, reflection, and coordination among initiatives working under the EU Mission Soil framework.

The event focused on sharing experiences related to Living Lab governance, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring of soil health impacts. For SOILCRATES, participation was particularly relevant as it allowed the project to align its Living Lab methodologies with emerging European practices and to engage in dialogue with other initiatives facing similar challenges.

During the event, participants discussed practical issues such as sustaining stakeholder involvement over time, integrating scientific indicators with local knowledge, and ensuring that Living Lab activities contribute meaningfully to policy and practice. The Granada Tierra Viva Living Lab contributed to these discussions by sharing insights from its co-creation process and pilot preparation activities.

The event reinforced the importance of community engagement as a cornerstone of soil health innovation and highlighted the value of cross-project learning. Participation strengthened SOILCRATES’ connections within the European soil innovation ecosystem and supported the project’s commitment to collaboration beyond its immediate consortium.
