On 3 December 2025, SOILCRATES representatives participated in the SOILL policy-oriented event entitled “Shaping the Future of Soil Health Living Labs and Lighthouses in Europe”, held in Brussels with hybrid participation options. The event aimed to connect EU-level policy discussions with on-the-ground Living Lab experiences.
The conference brought together policymakers, researchers, Living Lab coordinators, and project representatives to reflect on how Living Labs can contribute to future European soil governance frameworks. Discussions focused on scaling up successful practices, aligning indicators and methodologies, and strengthening the role of Living Labs in policy co-design.
Participation in this event allowed SOILCRATES to position its Living Labs as concrete examples of how participatory approaches can support soil protection and restoration objectives. The Granada Tierra Viva Living Lab experience contributed to discussions on stakeholder engagement, governance models, and long-term impact.
By engaging in this policy-focused dialogue, SOILCRATES reinforced its relevance beyond research and experimentation, highlighting its contribution to shaping future approaches to soil health innovation at the European level.
