Farmers from Counties Limerick\, Tipperary and Clare will open their doors to tell us more about their farm history and management and to facilitate soil demonstrations with the help of scientists from the Technological University of The Shannon. Soil demonstrations include soil pH\, nitrogen\, phosphorus and potassium measurements\, compaction\, water infiltration and earthworm count. Join us for hands-on farm experiences! \n\nFarm walks schedule:\n\n\nCo. Clare- Considine’s Farm: 22 July 2026\, 11:00 am\nLivestock farm on clay loam soils exploring practical ways to improve soil structure\, drainage\, and grassland resilience on heavy\, compacted soils.\nCo. Tipperary- Crawford’s Farm: 28 July 2026\, 13:30 pm\nThis dairy livestock farm on loam soils is testing compost- and microbe-based soil amendments to improve soil structure\, biodiversity\, and resilience.\nCo. Limerick- Michael O’Callaghan’s Farm: 29 July 2026\, 11:30 am\nLivestock farm on loam soils evaluating multi-species grassland compared with standard ryegrass–clover swards to assess their impact on soil compaction.\n\nREGISTER NOW! Spaces are limited\, so book your place today! \nFurther details\, including exact addresses\, will be provided via email upon registration.
